Authentic Japanese food! The sashimi was incredibly fresh, with the tuna being a standout—sweet, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The mixed green salad with tofu is a great option for anyone looking to add some fresh veggies to their meal. The beef and pork skewers were perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The squid pancake was also a highlight, especially when paired with soy sauce, which really brought out the natural sweetness of the squid. And to top it all off, the black sesame ice cream was amazing—rich, creamy, and the perfect way to end the meal! Another huge plus—parking is extremely hard to find in the Waikiki neighborhood, but this restaurant makes it so easy with a covered parking lot and an elevator for convenience. Definitely a must-visit for anyone craving high-quality Japanese food. Can’t wait to come back!

Beer was cold, sushi was fresh with well seasoned rice, edamame was cheap. What more can you ask for? Not a luxury experience but exactly what I wanted.

I just had the possibly best vegan meal I've had out in Honolulu - at a Japanese omnivor restaurant! Their 'Santa's Vegan Specials' are spectacular! We were especially impressed with the 'Buta' Kakuni, the 'Walnut shrimp' and the Age Mochi-z but all the dishes were great! The chef came out with two 'extras' too, including a really amazing'fish' dish made with banana flower! I'd recommend this place for any vegan or vegetarian visiting Hawaii, and I'm sure the carnivors get their fill too!

I have eaten at Tokkuri Tei about 15 times over the last 10 years. It is my favorite restaurant for many reasons, but please just go for the food—which is superb. Ask the waiter/waitress what to order if you are uncertain.

Good yakitori and sashimi. The pork neck and chicken balls were awesome. Pork neck in particular was one of the best skewers Ive ever had. Id probably skip the standard chicken. The sashimi was also excellent. Staff was friendly and even gave us an extra sake before we left. Recommended!
